Business management built for the trades
LatchLetter is software for small contracting businesses that are tired of running the business out of a truck, a notebook and a shoebox of receipts. It follows one job from the first phone call to the final payment: you build a quote from the work you are pricing, send it to the client for approval, and turn the approved quote into a scheduled job. From there you track the dates, the site address, the crew assigned to it, the materials and labour you spent, and the change orders that always come up mid-job. When the work is done you invoice from the job itself, record each payment as it lands, and the dashboard shows what you are owed and what has already been collected.
It is made for the people who swing the hammer and the people who answer the phone: electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, builders, carpenters, painters, roofers, landscapers, handymen and the small office teams that keep them organised. That means one owner-operator working alone, or a crew of ten with an estimator and a bookkeeper. Everything is built to work on a phone in a driveway with one hand, on a laptop at the kitchen table, or on a tablet on a job site.
LatchLetter is built by a small, independent team of software makers who work alongside working contractors and office managers, so the features in the app come from real jobs rather than a template. We keep it deliberately simple: quotes, jobs, documents, invoices and the numbers that tell you whether the work is actually making money.
What you can do in LatchLetter
Quotes that turn into jobs
Price the work from line items, send the quote for approval, and turn the approved version into a scheduled job without typing it twice.
Jobs, costs and paperwork
Keep dates, site address, assigned crew and material or labour costs on each job, with work orders, change orders and site notes stored alongside it.
Invoices and payments
Invoice straight from the job, record payments as they arrive, and see what is still owed and who has run past their terms.
One place for the office and the crew
Owners and office staff see the money, the schedule and the paperwork; crew members see the work assigned to them on the phone in their pocket.
